I have rewritten the article. First, it does not cite sources. Second, http://www.census.gov does not list any population or geographical information for this community. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 04:27, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Birth defects[edit]

My husband was stationed in Herlong California from 1980-1982. I can remember back then I thought there seemed to be alot of miscarriages for such a small town. The water smelled strange, but we were told it was perfectly safe. I was pregnant while my husband was stationed there. I had alot of problems with my pregnancy however I gave birth to a 5lb 13oz daughter. My girl is now almost 32 years old. She has had alot of health problems her whole life, and was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Perhaps I have just seen "Erin Brockovich" too many times, however I would be interested to know if anyone that lived in the area around that time has had any similar problems.Moma1999 (talk) 10:35, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This article states, "In the 21st century, Sierra Army Depot serves as the Army's End of First Life Center..." What does "End of First Life" mean?
