My found memories of Lord Lyton[edit]

Back in the 70s Knebworth house had a great big slide. I was making a sales call and met the maintenance guy who told me they were having a problem with folk going down the slide on cocoanut mats, that were sticking and he was worried it could cause an accident. To cut a long story short, I sold them a dry lubricant and said I would call back on the Easter weekend opening and make sure it was working. I took my two young sons with me and had the pleasure to meet Lord Lyton. He thanked me for the product and asked if I and my son's would like to see the house. The boys and I will never forget seeing amongst many other things, a small suite of armor, a letter from Charles Dickens, thanking the then Lyton family, for his stay with them. As I said I do not want to make a sarger out of this, but I am now 75 years old living in Arizona, I will always have fond memories of that great day and the kindness of the man. 70.162.60.27 (talk) 16:19, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
