Pronunciation of Lastname[edit]

Can we have the pronunciation of his lastname in IPA? I can think of a few ways it could be pronounced, but don't know which is right. Emma May Smith (talk) 19:17, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not any use at IPA, but I think his name is pronouced IRE (as in fire) and then TUN. Bevo74 (talk) 19:50, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

600,000 Irish People Died Under Iretons Brutal Campaigns[edit]

Out of a total Irish population of 1.5 million at the time. I don't know why that isn't in the article. Cromwell wasn't blameless but Ireton was, without a doubt, a genocidal butcher. Engineering mass starvation in a tiny country is no different than killing people by hand. 2602:306:BDA0:97A0:466D:57FF:FE90:AC45 (talk) 07:58, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You'd need to provide reliable sources that explicitly state that. Lord Cornwallis (talk) 00:17, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
