Editorialising[edit]

Just a note for whoever authored some recent anonymous edits: this article is not a vehicle for airing the historical grievances which British Catholics may hold against the Church of England or the British government, regardless of the legitimacy of those grievances. The facts themselves are quite compelling enough without editorialising with phrasing such as "[the universities had been] wrested from the Church by Henry VIII and filled with anti-Catholic bigotry for centuries".
