I am not old enough to remember, but the railway building which remains, and shown in the feature, I have been told was a left luggage department rather than a station building associated with the heeley station.

1876 crash[edit]

Leaving this here as I am in my phone and not in a position to make a proper page edit http://www.sheffieldhistory.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/10061-railway-accident-at-heeley-1876/ Talltim (talk) 20:29, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The accident report is here. Might be worth an article.—Jeremy (talk) 04:05, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like Google doesn't make this book available in the UK. I don't see any reason for me not to upload it to archive.org so I'll do that later.—Jeremy (talk) 17:25, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Archive.org version here. The report starts on page 253.—Jeremy (talk) 02:13, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The Railways Archive have an entry, but it lacks a link to the actual report. --Redrose64 (talk) 12:03, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There is also a higher quality PDF of the parliamentary report here (requires subscription).—Jeremy (talk) 17:19, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
