Merge proposal[edit]

In accordance with [1] the Wikipedia notes on writing about settlements, one of the recommendations is that, in order to reduce the number of stubs, villages and other settlements within a civil parish should be in one article. Hence the proposal I have made for the Hammerwood article to be incorporated here; I am in fact including the information already, so that it can be seen that the Wiki recommendation is eminently reasonable: it brings this article up to beyond a stub, and reduces East Sussex stubs by two, since it is also possible to incorporate the Hammerwood Park article here as well Peter Shearan (talk) 10:47, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

the lists in the original under the heading Demographics were listed straight from what is now the reference. the Pooh sticks bridge crops up all over the country! Peter Shearan (talk) 14:11, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dumb Question[edit]

The article lists the dialing code for the Parish of Hartfield as 01892. This is true of the Village of Harfield, but other places in the Parish are served from different exchanges. Colemans Hatch and Marsh Green are under the 01342 (East Grinstead) dialing code.

How is this best rectified? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daveph (talkcontribs) 00:15, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The template allows for more dialling codes, I have added 01342. Putney Bridge (talk) 19:31, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal of Upper Hartfield[edit]

No justification here, although policy is that all inhabited settlements are inherently notable; in the absence of reasons, or objections, I'm removing this proposal as "no consensus". Rodhullandemu 23:56, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
