Federal elections[edit]

The early voting of Hart's Location is the most notable feature about it. See the similar list in the entry for the slightly more famous Dixville Notch (Currently at 3507 hits in Google News vs. 2961 for Hart's Location.) Rushing to delete the information without discussion on election day, the day when people are going to be most interested in finding out about it, does not seem appropriate.Daetrin (talk) 13:02, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

None of the three citations included in the Federal elections section support claims of the "town's reputation as belwether". Without a citation, the section fails notability, does not fall within Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/US Guideline#Government and is most likely Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trivia sections. It has an arbitrary start date, but worse, has no logical end, and within a decade or two would consume a huge portion of the page. I came here this morning (election day) after reading about this year's vote looking for historical information about previous years and was literally stunned when it wasn't here. I cannot fathom a reason not to include it. The only reason anyone cares about this place is its election tradition and basically every newspaper is reporting its results right now. The fact that every newspaper everywhere reports the results of this town would seem to indicate that it's a rather notable thing.--B (talk) 13:49, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

West Wing reference[edit]

Since it's sort of given a nod by The West Wing (as "Hartsfield Landing"), is it also worth noting that the next town over is called "Bartlett"? Especially given that the character of Josiah Bartlet is from New Hampshire as well, and canonically a descendant and namesake of the founder of that town. 75.112.52.7 (talk) 14:34, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Hartsfield Landing" is a tenuous, trivial link to this town, and thus mentioning that Bartlett next door is also linked to the show is even more trivial for this article. Maybe appropriate to the West Wing article, but not here.
