Fair use rationale for Image:Uncensored.jpg[edit]

Image:Uncensored.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Harold T. Wilkins[edit]

He aldo wrote Treasure Hunting, Missing Hidden Treasures, Pirate Treasures, Captain Kidd and His Skeleton Island under the publisher of Bruce Humphries, Inc. Boston. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.170.53.195 (talk) 10:38, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The funniest thing about Wilkins's books is the British Library catalogue, which catalogues his 1954 book about flying saucers as "Flying Saucers on the Moon. [With plates.]"! John O'London (talk) 17:03, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Citations[edit]

At minimum, a citation to a periodical needs to include the article title and author, as well as the publication's name and publication date. Citations like "World science review, Intelligence Digest Service, 1956, p. 39" are essentially worthless from a WP:Verifiability point of view. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 12:23, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Lang[edit]

The article makes reference to 'the fictitious Andrew Lang disappearance' but there is nothing on AL's page to which this relates. Some clarification is needed on one or other page. Jackiespeel (talk) 09:10, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A typo (either in the article or the original book) for DAVID Lang, alleged to be a Sumner County Tennessee farmer who vanished in full view in the middle of a field on 23rd September 1880, almost certainly a journalistic hoax. Not the Red/Green/Blue/etc. Fairy Book author and psychic researcher.86.187.174.27 (talk) 23:50, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Jackiespeel: the IP is correct and I've changed it. Doug Weller talk 16:30, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
