References[edit]

There are numerous entries on this page which are not supported by citations, either inline or on the linked page. When adding an entry for the famous Ken Dodd song, I added a citation to support this fact as younger or foreign editors may be unfamiliar with this. Another editor has removed this reference but, as this action seems contrary to our core policy of verification, I have reverted.

Note, by the way, that the reference is to a book which covers many aspects of happiness and so is a good general reference for this page.

Add the reference to the Ken Dodd article, where it belongs.--ShelfSkewed Talk 05:35, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please explain to me how adding references to the Ken Dodd article would take any more time or effort than adding them here? And I wasn't demanding that you do anything at all; whether you choose to add those refs to the Dodd article is entirely up to you. What I was really suggesting, as you well know, is that you shouldn't add them here, where they don't belong.--ShelfSkewed Talk 16:48, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Our verification policies are for articles; this is not an article, but a disambiguation page. Its purpose is limited to helping users reach their desired article. It no more needs a citation than a redirect needs one. Propaniac (talk) 15:50, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
