Halifax Grammar School Math Team[edit]

1. Questionable relevance of the following: "...tutored to perfection by Ms. Baillie. The Mathletes particpate in competitions across Halifax, competing against other schools. Recent competitions have placed the Halifax Grammar School Mathletes in the top five schools. Mr. Moffatt also assists in the teaching of the more difficult problems.". As Ms. Baillie and Mr. Moffat are no broadly known personas I doubt there should be a reference to them at least not in this manner.

2.The HGS team has not won a regional game in many years.

3.The reason being is our teams are grade 10s, most of whom have not encountered the math problems that more experienced grade 11 or 12s may have had. Thus, it is only natural that grammar has not done stupendously well; however, it does say something that our students can out preform most of the older students. Not to mention, many students who once went to grammar may have moved to other schools,and they may represent other institutions. They bring along with them the skills they learned at Grammar like how to cheat as well as mathematical abilities learned at the new institution to create formidable teams.
