Millfields power station[edit]

After a quick google search I'm given the impression that the station was also known as Millfields Power Station. Is this right? And if so I'll mention it at the top of the article. Fintan264 (talk) 19:36, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Millfields Road is probably a local name - as far as I know it was known as Hackney in CEGB times. A set of photos currently on ebay [1] implies it was known as Hackney in the 1920s. Pterre (talk) 20:22, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You are right that it ought to be mentioned - this name is used in several references. I can't say for certain whether it was ever the official name. Does anyone know? Pterre (talk) 20:32, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'll add "(also known as Millfields Power Station)" until it is determined whether or not it was an official or local name. Fintan264 (talk) 20:56, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
