Specifications appear twice[edit]

For some reason, there are 2 lists of specifications. We have the infobox. Then most of it is repeated in the body of the article. We don't need 2 lots of specifications. As the infobox is the designated place for specifications to be placed, the infobox should stay, but the specs should be deleted from the body of the article. If there is a lack of parameters in the infobox, then I suggest adding them to the infobox template, as there will surely be other phones with similar specifications. Issues[edit]

Why does the article have an issues section, dealing with minor software bugs? This is an encyclopedia - not HTC Support. I can understand major or unsolved bugs (such as the jitter in the touch sensitivity), but HTC released fixes for the camera and SMS issues a long time ago. Pretty much all of their devices have similar issues in their first month or two, and I don't see sections in other articles detailing those issues. I suggest that the screen bug should be moved into a section elaborating on the hardware features, and the other bugs removed from the article - they don't add to it in any way other than length. The pink camera defect of the HD2 (which was recommended for deletion by user:Dark-Fire above) affects every single unit, and there are hundreds of articles in major technical magazines about it, and it still is unfixed for shooting video. The SMS delay is still unfixed (though they fixed the SMS receipt issue yesterday, which was not included in this article). Ask for more references to be provided, if needed. Don't delete the whole section. You'll find sections titled 'Criticism' or 'Issues' on competing products, such as the Android OS or the Google Nexus One handset. As long as it is well cited. Otherwise, the Wikipedia article becomes like the promotional website of the manufacturer. Should we delete the Android / Nexus criticism too? --Lester 21:26, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My HD2, and the HD2s of two of my friends have never had the pink camera or SMS problems. Nexus One, as an even newer article than this, is hardly a good example (and even the criticism section there only has a sentence about the pinkish camera issue, which is possibly the same issue the HD2 has - not a brief summary of its history and how to fix it), and neither is Android because it is not a competing product (it's an operating system, not a phone). Good examples would be articles such as HTC Touch Diamond and iPhone - they were/are competing products, they have had issues, and their articles have been around for a long time.
