getting there[edit]

Yes, it should be British English since it was a British ship. I just did American out of habit. But is it really its own class? The article List of frigate classes of the Royal Navy gives it as Apollo class frigate. Any artwork of it available perchance? Thanks. W Nowicki (talk) 02:03, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blonde was a development of the Apollos, but to quite a different design. When I first added the infobox I had in mind there was more than one ship to this design, but now I check I see that she was the only one. Since she was a unique class but a development from an earlier one, something along the lines of 'a modified Apollo-class frigate' should be fine instead. There are images of the ship held in museum collections, I'm not sure if there are any digitised copies online. Benea (talk) 02:14, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Section name: Hawaii[edit]

I'd like to change the name of the section to "Voyage to Hawaii". Just calling it "Hawaii" suggests that the only place visited (or at least of any importance) was Hawaii. This is not the case! If I don't receive any negative responses within a few days, I'll make the change. I will (of course) check for any links to #Hawaii. Peter coxhead (talk) 11:10, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure yes, especially if you add more text talking about these other places (or Hawaii for that matter), that would be even better. I Generally used the HMS template for linkage. And of course it must have done something between 1826 and 1850 etc. Thanks. W Nowicki (talk) 18:13, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

Why was this ship called "Blonde". Its not a very obvious name for a ship.Eregli bob (talk) 02:38, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
