Note[edit]

Okay, just expanded this article on Hojo Tokimasa. Please let me know what you guys think. I want to thank [1] for the picture of Hojo Tokimasa from Yoshitsune.

Let me know how I did.

Feedback[edit]

The character for Tokimasa is correct. However, the following passage can't be. Ichiman was a child, and he died when he was 6. N ote that he was being brought up by the Hiki, so he wasn't close to the Hōjō. Sanetomo was, as he had been nursed by Masako's younger sister. This article was mostly written by Hiroshi66, so I assume he would prefer to take care of this himself. (I would). Note also that conflicting versions (the Azuma Kagami's and the Gukanshō's) of the events related in the following quotation exist, and they should be both mentioned. See Minamoto no Ichiman's and Hiki Yoshikazu's articles.

In 1203, the 21 year old Yoriie became extremely ill and weak, and Tokimasa produced a plan where Japan would be divided between Minamoto no Sanetomo and Minamoto no Ichiman, who was Yoriie's son and very close with the Hōjō, who was planning to become the next shogun. Yoshikazu began to suspect something based on the attitude of Tokimasa, Masako, Ichiman, and Sanetomo, and began to hatch an assassination plot to capture and assassinate Hōjō Tokimasa.
