Volume[edit]

The volume formula shown appears to me to be equivalent to

{\frac {\sqrt {2}}{3}}(5+3{\sqrt {1+{\sqrt {3}}}})a^{3}

(Strange that WolframCo didn't simplify it.) Any objection to using the simpler form? —Tamfang (talk) 05:12, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Or better yet :

{\sqrt {2}}({\frac {5}{3}}+{\sqrt {1+{\sqrt {3}}}})a^{3}

. I've confirmed the equivalence with Sage.

And yet adding up the volumes given in Cuboctahedron and Antiprism I get

6+2{\sqrt {3}}+{\sqrt {2}}+2{\sqrt {(}}1+{\sqrt {3}})
