Challenging proposed deletion[edit]

True, the term is not in wider circulation (apart from the preface to the volume where the term is introduced, and Haspelmath's review of this volume, the term seems to be discussed in only one other publication). But this wiki article is not about the term, but the phenomenon described by it. And this phenomenon is immediately recognisable. It is properly discussed under this name in only a single paper, which was published in a volume on linguistic typology – quite a different academic field from the one where research on this topic would normally be published. What does this mean? That the phenomenon has likely been treated in the relevant literature under a different name (or names). Uanfala (talk) 19:11, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
