Fitzpatrick and copyright[edit]

The page currently states of Fitzpatrick's posters produced in London: "All of them were created without copyright, because Fitzpatrick wanted them to be reproduced." This presumably alludes to a lack of any copyright statement or attribution on the posters, but this makes no sense, as neither were or are required under UK copyright law, which also does not even allow for copyright registration, let alone make it mandatory. Simply by virtue of being created, Fitzpatrick's version was protected by copyright, and he was automatically the owner of it. Nick Cooper (talk) 10:04, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
