PROD discussion[edit]

Hello! The main reason why I don’t believe that this page, Guatemalan Canadians, should be removed for deletion is because I created this page to compare the different Latin American Canadians solely for comparison between the different Latino groups in Canada, as well as the upcoming 2021 Canadian Census, which should be coming with more information in the winter months.

Closing this page would be a great liability for the Guatemalan Canadian community as well as the Latin American Canadian communities and since Wikipedia is used for quick references by different people, it would be short sighted to close this page because of one poster’s objection that this page be deleted. Also, this page was also created so other posters within the aforementioned communities can add information about their communities, such as Salvadorans in Brandon, MB, Dominicans in Montreal and Laval, and Ecuadorians in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Guatemalan and Honduran Canadian communities are rapidly growing and as Canada is slowly, but surely becoming a major destination for Latin Americans, it’s highly imperative to keep this page open for the general public for research purposes. After the last 2021 Canadian census data links come forth, it should be proven that the Guatemalan and Honduran Canadian communities have grown larger than the last estimate from 2016, and once again, closing the Guatemalan and Honduran Canadian pages would only be at the detriment to those communities as well as the Latin American Canadian community at large. No idea how any of this is relevant, so article has been sent to Article for Deletion where the community can decide.Slywriter (talk) 21:01, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
