Untitled[edit]

The fact removed is true. One source was provided - others can be provided. See:

http://www.slate.com/id/101920/

"In 1995, Duke center Greg Newton was suspended from the school for two semesters after a student court found him guilty of cheating on a computer science exam. Newton returned to Duke and resumed playing for the basketball team. Two years later, Duke guard Ricky Price was suspended from school for plagiarism. He too returned to Duke and resumed his basketball career."

Nobody ever said it wasn't true, just that the source provided (www.truthaboutduke.com) for that fact was unreliable at best. Thus, it necessitated deletion. As long as it meets WP:V with an actual source, it's fine. Even Slate magazine is not the greatest source since it is a social commentary site. It'd be best to find an article in the Raleigh News & Observer, The Chronicle, or the like stating that he was suspended. If it's true, it shouldn't be hard at all to find.

Source[edit]

Many items on Wikipedia are much more thinly sourced. I see you have a Duke I.P. address so do you really not know this to be true? At any rate, News and Observer archives are not freely available online.

Financial Journalist[edit]

There's also a prominent financial journalist and blogger named Greg Newton.

I may prepare an article on the other GN, as well as disambiguation language, shortly. --Christofurio 21:03, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
