Removal of "The Immortal Trio"[edit]

THIS AINT A DANCE FLOOR ITS A CANDY STORE!!!!!!!!! My edit summary got interrupted, so I wanted to explain more clearly why I have removed that phrase. "Webster Clay Calhoun "The Immortal Trio"" returns less than 50 ghits, whereas doing the same with "The Great Triumvirate" turns up closer to 50,000, so I don't see it belonging as is. Origin and usage of the term "Great Triumvirate"?[edit]

Does anyone know of sources that discuss the history of this term being used in the literature? I know the 1988 book by Merrill D. Peterson but did he coin the term, or had people been using it before then? Was the term in use during the time the trio was in power? &c. &c. Interested in knowing the answer, or if anyone has suggestions on how I might go about finding that information? I used the Google Books Ngram Viewer and it's been used loosely in the past (see here) but in looking at the referenced texts (the links at the bottom), the "Great Triumvirates" are usually actually referring to other trios or as a general term of which Webster, Clay, and Calhoun are one of many.
