Title[edit]

Ewanduffy 15:08, 25 December 2005 (UTC) The companys was called "Great Southern Railways". It was never known (officially or otherwise) as "Great Southern Railways (Ireland).[reply]

Ewan, the (Ireland) in the article title is to disambiguate it from any other use of this name (like GSR Australia, GSR Western Australia) and to maintain the same nomenclature as GNR(I) - it is not intended to imply that Ireland was ever part of the name. I have created a redirect from Great Southern Railways to the Great Southern Railway disambiguation page. Dowlingm 03:29, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
