Word wrap?[edit]

I recently added a route map however, I was not able to get it to word wrap so there is a large blank space where there should be words. Can someone either tell me how to fix that or would you please fix it for me? I do have a larger photo if you feel there is room or we could just stretch this one. Living aboard[edit]

Edited "Looper Culture" to read "live on their boats" not "live in" them. Great Circle[edit]

I removed a claim that it is improper to refer to it as the Great Circle route. Lots of people do, including published sources (I inserted a citation for one). Claiming it to be improper seems to be original research. Sbs9 (talk) 21:16, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

I would like to volunteer to create a proper, clean SVG map showing the Great Loop. Is there an official way to do this? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Cjcaesar (talk) 15:31, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Size Restriction[edit]

"The main factors that govern the size of the boat are the limited draft (5 ft, 1.5 m) in some locations on the loop and the height of one bridge (19 ft, 5.8 m) in Chicago." I have a perception that perhaps a US Navy Frigate completed a loop at some point in the past (probably between 1972 and 1992). Now their loop was quite likely offshore and NO use of the inter coastal Waterway, as far as the East side of the loop. Anyone able to prove impossible, or only possible during a certain time frame? For Size - that slightly more than 400 feet length - about 15 foot draft, 45 foot beam. Height above water- unsure - say 90 feet. I am pretty certain such can come up the Mississippi River above Baton Rouge, and get to Lake Michigan from the Atlantic Ocean.
