Availability of the film[edit]

Bob Godfrey's recent death has led to calls for the film to be released on DVD or Blu-ray.[1][2]. It has never been released in these formats, and has not been shown on British television for many years. YouTube is no help either, as this Guardian article shows, Bob Godfrey's estate will issue takedown notices if his films are uploaded to the site. Godfrey's family commented "Unfortunately the ad-funded videos on YouTube only generated £11 in 9 months, nowhere near enough."[3]--♦IanMacM♦ ^{(talk to me)} 10:10, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

2017 release[edit]

Re this edit: it looks like the film may finally be available to purchase in 2017. Bob Godfrey's website says "After the film was initially completed in received distribution in cinemas alongside feature films, but was never released on VHS, DVD or any other home formats. We are glad to announce that in 2017, Great will be available to buy on Blu-Ray/DVD and as a Digital HD download."[4] This is good news, but there is still an element of WP:CRYSTAL so it is better to wait until the film is released.--♦IanMacM♦ ^{(talk to me)} 17:53, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re this edit: I'm not sure if this means that the DVD and Blu-ray won't now be released and that the film will be available via download only. Perhaps someone could help on this.--♦IanMacM♦ ^{(talk to me)} 16:00, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
