Adjective[edit]

And what does the adjective 'graustarkian" mean? Ran across it in a book by John Lukacs. Sca 14:49, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

'graustarkian' means, roughly, 'ruritanian' - suggesting a romantic adventure set in an imaginary kingdom in central or eastern Europe of the late 19th or early 20th century (or a fantasy world like it), often with the connotation of commoners coming to the aid of royalty. - PKM 17:14, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
