Grass Valley Group[edit]

I removed the timeline for the Grass Valley Group, a large local company. While I agree that the company is significant in this area, that kind of detail belongs on a page about the company itself, rather than the town.Seaphoto 16:26, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would ask the annonymous user to not put back the detailed information on the Grass Valley Group without reaching a consensus first. Please examine wikipedia articles on other cities, and study the format. Note that Detroit does not have a detailed time line for General Motors, and Cupertino does not have one for Apple Computer. If you feel that an article is warranted for the Grass Valley Group, then create one. A link from the Grass Valley City page could then be included. Thank you for your cooperation. I've rewritten the material, boiling it down to a sentence. -Will Beback 19:56, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that!Seaphoto 20:54, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Sundown Town"?[edit]

While the removal was a bit abrupt, I concur that there were no reliable sources provided for this assertion. I do wish, though, that somebody would pursue this further, as if it is true, this would be a notable piece of information about the town; and it should not be whitewashed. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:33, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2006 Census[edit]

There was no census in 2006. It is unclear if the author means the 2000 census, or if the population is a 2006 estimate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.234.94.72 (talk) 00:36, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's accurate. An actual US gov administered census wasn't conducted in 2006 and all stats from that period are estimates and unofficial. The article United States Census doesn't list anything related to 2006. Many pages on WP don't list 2006 data. --Travis Thurston+ 03:59, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Old Yeller[edit]

Can someone please provide a citation for this? I have never heard of this and a google search does not yield valid sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.252.4.4 (talk) 23:04, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removed "Old Yeller" reference, after an hour of researching multiple search engines, I found numerous similar texts but no actual hard evidence this is the case. Also researched IMDB and other specific movie sites for Old Yeller. panoptican — Preceding unsigned comment added by Panoptican (talkcontribs) 18:36, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
