What about merging this article with Graphics program ? --Xylometazolin 16:55, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Support: Yes, these articles needs to be merged. I guess merge Graphics progam into graphics software is best. -- Frap 12:34, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Graphics Software would be the correct terminology, it should be merged into Graphics software not into Graphics Program. --Hm2k 00:44, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to update the photo editor page with a stub. Currently when I search it, the photo editor page is redirected here. My stub would include the information below and I would link it to the editor page - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Editor.

I have completed some research seen below presented as bullet points.

Photo Editor (aka Picture Editor) –

- Responsible for collecting, selecting, and preparing photographs for publication

- Positions in several different types of publications (newspapers, books, magazines, galleries, web site, corporate PR publications) and each publication has its own set of aims and guidelines

- The job relays more and more on technology – for deliver of images, selecting of best images, treating the photos for publication, archiving use for budget concerns or even reuse

- Often includes managerial duties, budget development and maintenance, negotiating contracts with photo sources, understanding of copyright and media law

- Highly specialized profession and often filed by people who were previously photographers.

“The selection of a small number of photographs and illustrations from a choice of possibly hundreds is generally recognized as the core skill of picture editing.” (Ang, pg. 4)

My primary sources are the following two -

1. Ang Tom. Picture Editing, Second Edition. Focal Press, 2000. Introduction available on Amazon.com

2. Schools In the USA website – http://www.schoolsintheusa.com/careerprofiles_details.cfm?carid=1146

Please let me know if this is appropriate to appear on this page. Thank you! --Photomer (talk) 19:52, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Illustrator CS3 Mac.png[edit]

The image Image:Illustrator CS3 Mac.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --23:54, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article[edit]

This article doesn't appear on any navigation templates. Nor does graphics or graphic art software. Is this an indication of lack of use in the real world. Or just an lack of attention by editors? Should a redirect be created to something instead? - Shiftchange (talk) 00:07, 1 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Adobe[edit]

There is an unnecessary amount of article dedicated to advertising Adobe products. 2001:56A:F5D6:FF00:D5F2:A87:873A:C92C (talk) 07:59, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
