Geological History of Grand Travese Bay[edit]

I was just reading up on the submerged Mackinac Falls, and saw a link to an article in Mackinac Island's local newspaper documenting them. In the article, it also mentions that this scientist discovered that Grand Traverse Bay was one seperate/independent of Lake Michigan, meaning it was it's own lake/lagoon. Anyone able to find more info on this? This seems like a very important fact that should be further researched and added to this page. --Criticalthinker (talk) 11:47, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
