Redirection[edit]

Why isn't this simply redirecting to either (A) Krishna or (b) names of Krishna? Vampromero (talk) 21:40, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Govinda chanting video[edit]

Please do not delete my links.
The article is short and it does not describe Govind in full. For Indian people, the youtube link describes more about the philosophical details of Govinda. Please explain why you deleted it? For more details about youtube, please see User_talk:GourangaUK.

Hello Rath yatra, I was under the impression that You-tube links would be innapropriate in Wikipedia:
"There is no blanket ban on linking to these sites as long as the links abide by the guidelines on this page (which would be infrequent)."
From this official statement I understand that they can be used, although very infrequently. It would depend on how much additional information they contained which was relevant to the article. Does anyone else have an opinion on this? Regards, Gouranga(UK) 12:13, 2 November 2007 (UTC) govind namdeo[reply]

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "... the character of Gopala Krishna is often considered to be non-Vedic in one interpretations, while it can also be based on the popular understanding or rather misunderstanding of the Rig Vedic texts.[1]" Can someone please explain this a little more deeply? This is really confusing to me. Thank you. 76.167.167.53 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:35, 24 June 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Etymology?[edit]

I may be mistaken, but most of the explanations in the Etymology section don't feel like etymology at all. With no offense to anyone for whom those exegetical meanings hold spiritual significance, only the last one ("protector of cows") appears potentially plausible as actual etymology. You're right: Protector of cows, or one who gives pleasure to the cows, is the literal etymology. Dāsānudāsa (talk)
