Song Usage in Porn Movie[edit]

There is a Turkish porn series called Istanbul Life featuring Ṣahin K, who may remind many of the American Ron Jeremy. In one scene in one film he is flirting with a woman in a record store. In the background "Gossip Folks" is playing. Though no sex occurs in the scene, it sure did seem like this song could be deemed as being part of a soundtrack for this porn film. I wonder if Missy Elliott or Timbaland know about this film or have considered suing. Perhaps "there is no such thing as bad publicity!" jcm 3/27/9 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.228.129.9 (talk) 14:09, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Missy elliott-gossip folks.jpg[edit]

Image:Missy elliott-gossip folks.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:20, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is an obvious reference to The "Triplets of Belleville" (music by Benoît Charest) around 2:45 into the music video (the section with Ludacris center stage). This makes "Gossip folks" an even stronger piece of work in my mind. I wonder what portion of the Missy Elliott/Ludacris fan base have seen the "Triplets" movie or listened to the music of Charest?Johnfravolda (talk) 00:58, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uniforms[edit]

I removed the line "The entire video takes place at a school where everyone wears red Adidas sweatsuits as uniforms." from the article. Maybe the first few seconds are like that and they appear from time to time but whoever added that must have missed the shirts and ties the guys were mostly wearing. --172.72.47.40 (talk) 15:30, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
