I think it's erroneous to say the gophers have a "British" accent. They have an upper crust, New England-esque accent that was prominent in America until the 1940s. I think their vocalizations are making fun of gay men and snooty folk. They use overblown vocabulary and faux politeness while up to their shenanigans. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1702:B90:3210:250D:D796:EFAE:C927 (talk) 18:48, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Question(s)?[edit]

Does "Mac and Tosh" have anything to do with Apple Computer naming the "Macintosh"? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TayStad (talkcontribs) .

No, the Goofy Gophers predate the computers by some time. A McIntosh is simply a variety of apple for which both the gophers and the computers were named. — BrianSmithson 15:05, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More likely the Gophers were named for Charles Rennie Mackintosh another designer of chairs, like Thomas Chippendale.

And which is the one with the Gophers battling faceless harvesting equipment? — Mmicek 04:37, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

where can i get a video? i've been trying to explain the whole "shall we?", "let's shall" lingo between the gophers, to my girlfriend.

Drew Carey Show[edit]

There was an episode regarding yiffing on the Drew Carey Show that paid a homage to these two characters. Should a mentioned of this be included in the episode? --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 07:18, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
