Some feedback very soon! L150 08:54, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have to say, it's mostly well-written, detailed and sourced, just for one song. Great work. I only have a few minor points. L150 18:17, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well-written

  • "West critiques societal hierarchies produced by the homogenisation of the American education system." - do we need a wikilink for 'societal hierarchies' and 'American education system'? Also, is 'homogenisation' spelt correctly or should it be with the letter z?
  • 'Accolades' sub-heading - wouldn't a more appropriate header be "Critics' lists" or something similar? The paragraph leans more to reviews, so you could even merge it with the rest of critical reception? Either way, up to you.
  •  Not done since this is talking about rankings of the song but has quotes explaining them and it would make no sense to place these with the content directly above since that'd be straight after a mixed review of sorts
  • "The elaborate spectacle was all set in almost perfect time with the music." - might sound better as 'The elaborate spectacle was synchronized with the music.'
  • "They are taken from scenes of the 1968 science fiction film 2001: A Space Odyssey." - will sound better as 'They were scenes taken from the 1968 science fiction film 2001: A Space Odyssey'
  • "Just as was the case with the audio track" - might sound better as "Similarly with the audio track"
  • "launched into his performance of the song" - I know 'launched' is more interesting but you could just write 'started performing the song', which is less wordy!
  • "In a manner similar" - I think 'manner similar' should be swapped around, or maybe 'In a similar fashion'?
  • "Speech of the alternative hip hop group Arrested Development" - I think you've wikilinked the wrong Speech.

Done for all except where noted and made a few changes

Verifiable

  • References look fine and correctly formatted. There's some distracting question marks in reference 72 & 77 though, and I think that's from foreign characters?
  • No copyright issues - some quotes were flagged but these are sourced

Broad

  • Yes, addresses main topic and is focused

Neutral

  • Yes

Stable

  • Yes

Illustrated

  • Yes, captions and alt-tags

Overall @Lizzy150: Made GAN fixes, this up to your standards by now? --Kyle Peake (talk) 06:44, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MacBook Air[edit]

Under the “Background” section of this article, it states that Kanye used a MacBook Air in 2007 to play his album. This is incorrect because the MacBook Air was not released until 2008. 2600:1700:CAF0:69C0:5510:4EA5:B5CB:31AF (talk) 21:35, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
