We already have an article Glowplug. The article Glow plug (model engine) seems to be a hybrid article containing information about both model engine glowplugs and the engines themselves. I intend to expand the "engine" content of this article. Biscuittin (talk) 09:16, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I can see no overlap between the two articles. Glow plug (model engine) seems rightly to be about the engines, and to have an appropriate section within it on the plugs themselves. No merges, splitting or reorganisation is needed, although your expansion on the engines is welcomed. Note also that the two glowplugs are significantly different - one is electrically heated, the other is catalytically heated and electricity is only applied for starting. I rewrote the how-to information under "Considerations when using glow plug engines" from a point-form list to prose. I agree that the information is instructional, but I don't think it should be removed from the article. Many of the tips provide useful, factual insight into how the engines operate. An example is how the plug should be cooler if the engine is run at high RPM. This shows how the temperature of the engine block relates to the performance of the engine. Some of the tips are purely instructional and probably aren't necessary for the article, but I included all of the tips in the rewrite. Roches (talk) 01:47, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
