Surprising omission: competence/competency[edit]

I would have thought that this is one of the most used terms, yet it is not defined? Subsidiarity (European Union)#EU competences might provide a start? --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 14:38, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Meanwhile, I have added a 'holding' line to Competence (a disambig article) that I am sure could be improved (or indeed replaced by a link to a new section in this article?) --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 14:48, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have declined these drafts, not because I think that they should not have separate articles, but because I think that whether separate article should be split out should be decided by consensus here. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:35, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Robert McClenon I came across the drafts. I have no firm opinion myself, there seem to be no further comments, and there seem no matching articles in any other WP. Another alternative would be to make articles for the two people the groups are named aftter and include the information there; they'd meet enWP notability standards, but no other WP has an article to base it on. I'd suggest you follow your own judgment, one way or another. DGG ( talk ) 04:37, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
