Meare Pool[edit]

In the use section should there be a link to the Meare Pool article?— Rod talk 08:10, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes in so far as the Brue went past (to the west of) Meare pool; as yet I have seen no statement that it was connected to Meare pool - the latter appears to have been confined to the supplying and processing of fish.Pyrotec (talk) 08:28, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And a link to Glastonbury Canal at least to help readers differentiate between the course of the old & new.— Rod talk 08:41, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Take a look at page 73 of this book, which features a nice diagram showing drainage of the levels in medieval times. It clearly shows Meare Pool as being a long way from the canal, but linked by the river network. --TimTay (talk) 08:49, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. I bought the book when it first came out. I was looking at Fig 43 on page 217, the Pilrow seems to have been extended to the south east in Fig 43.Pyrotec (talk) 18:00, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
