The name Girsu[edit]

In the literature, the "G" in Girsu is always spelled with a diacritic, such as G̃ or Ĝ, and pronounced /ŋ/. The title of the article should reflect that this is a different "G" than in, say, Gilgamesh.

I'd like to open discussion on spelling this city Ngirsu, reflecting pronounciation, or G̃irsu, if diacritics aren't minded. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.92.234.20 (talk) 18:58, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
