POV[edit]

This article seems severely biased in its positivity towards the song. Mostly, it’s the wording that’s at issue here: “the ever-classic love triangle theme”, “…on YouTube and became a hit” (relatively, plus no citation), “which is the main feel of the song and video: how immature a girl, or girls, can get when fighting for a man that may not be worth it” (this is one possible reading of the song, many people might think that the song’s protagonist [hero] is the girl that stealing the others boyfriend) "many people-fans and haters alike” (I think this should be prefaced with an explanation or linked, you can’t just use slang like that) Well I’m not going to change it now, but what do you guys think, should it stay the same? Or could it use a change? (70.48.96.7)

Wikipedia is afraid of slang! NOO!

UK Chart Position[edit]

Girlfriend peaked at #2, not #1. Also even if it did, it wouldn't be her 3rd #1. Avril Lavigne has never had a #1 single in the UK.
