Carnegie Medal achievements[edit]

The CCSU list includes Medal (1936-2005), Highly Commended (1966-2002), and Commended (1955-2002). Beside the one Medal and two HC that are now covered here, Cross was "Commended" for Chartbreak (1986) and The Great Elephant Chase (1992). On average there were about three commendations of both kinds annually, when both were available.

The formal "shortlist" is usually eight books and its history overlaps the commendations (how long?). --P64 (talk) 18:07, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
