Picture[edit]

There wasn't a good picture of giardiniera anywhere on the web so I decided to take one and upload it to the wiki article. Darjeelingtea (talk) 08:39, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contribution. Unfortunately, that picture prominently displays a specific brand label, but not the product inside. I think it has a place in the article as an example of a jar of giardiniera, but it shouldn't be the main focus. There are many people who don't believe packaging should be featured at all in Wikipedia. GreenGlass(talk) 02:49, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sport Peppers[edit]

I removed "made 'hot' with sport peppers or 'mild' without" because sport peppers are never in Chicago style giardiniera, they're on Chicago style hot dogs. I also removed bell peppers from the ingredients list because they are not an ingredient. Neither of these points are remotely controversial.
