The 6th and 7th Patrol section here, for much of its content, relies on Herbert Werner's book Iron Coffins, and is also different stylistically from other sections in the article. However there is no record of the April patrol described here taking place, and his description of the action on 6/7 June cannot be verified.
Werner's book has been subject of discussion on the Werner article talk page and at MILHIST: For the reasons given there, it cannot be accepted as a reliable source for historical fact, though as a personal memoir it is a useful insight into the thoughts and opinions of a German U-boat officer of the time.
I have therefore re-written this section, to match the style of the rest of the article, and confined the content to information that can be substantiated by other, more acceptable, sources. Xyl 54 (talk) 23:26, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
