This is getting stupid[edit]

I've watched the encroachment of this "Georgia (U.S. state)" thing through the Wiki Category system over the last year with growing dismay. Now you want to build it into article titles too?! Come on! The wonderful people of the country of Georgia call their homeland "Sakartvelo" and I doubt they have such a beast as a "Georgia Lottery". Any way, this is the English language Wikipedia! Will this insanity ever end? --Jolomo 04:10, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose should be Georgia Lottery 70.51.8.72 07:37, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose should be called Georgia Lottery, unless there is more than one entity called Georgia Lottery. Milchama 17:55, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've moved to Georgia Lottery, as consensus seems to show this was best, and I agree. Patstuarttalk|edits 00:52, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Different topic[edit]

The phrase "Georgia Land Lottery" redirects to this page. The Land Lottery was a 19th century historical land giveaway. Perhaps if there is no article on the land lottery it can simply be removed and not redirected to this article? GeorgiaArchives —Preceding undated comment added 21:16, 26 May 2009 (UTC).[reply]
