Not John Ford's first film - by a long shot[edit]

As I read the text, it is saying that "The Iron Horse" was John Ford's first film. This is not so. Ford began directing shorts in 1915 and directed his first feature in 1917 (Straight Shooting). "The Iron Horse" is his first epic -- about the building of the transcontinental railroad. It had 6,000 extras and was filmed on location in Arizona. It also features (in the final scene) a re-enactment of the meeting of the Central and Union Pacific Railroads at Promentory Point using the two locomotives (Jupiter and #116) which actually met there. So, I think the reference to this being Ford's first film should be deleted or changed. Tres Passos (talk) 08:18, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
