Saunders/Leybourne[edit]

Most reliable sources say he was born Saunders and eventually adopted the stage name Leybourne. [1], [2], [3]. Softlavender (talk) 23:28, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, this is also depicted in the film Champagne Charlie. -- Softlavender (talk) 02:27, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On second thought, a lot of those sources say he was born Leybourne, took the stage name of Saunders when he was first starting out, and then reverted back to his real name. I guess he wanted some anonymity and removal from his former life/identity (as a mechanic?) when he was trying his wings. But whatever the case, this article needs better research, it needs unassailable citations, and it needs citations for his birthplace. Softlavender (talk) 03:10, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Blue Plaque[edit]

Don't know if you want to add it to the article, but there is a "Blue Plaque" displayed at the house he lived in at Southgate Road, Islington, London.46.7.85.68 (talk) 12:12, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
