Categories[edit]

This article really needs to be broken up into categories. As it stands its just a block of text.Millertime246 (talk) 20:33, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Better would be to do complete rewrite. This article needs (for a start):

proper sources
proper descriptions of the modern geography/geology/landscape of Upper/Lower Mesopotamia plus its development
proper maps
proper descriptions of the development of ancient names of Mesopotamia (Sumer, Assyria, Babylonia, etc) plus links to the main articles
