Suggest this pages title be changed to Gendarmerie (Austria). There are a lot of problems with this page, mostly how it scans in english as it seems to have been translated directly from the german language version by automatic translation software. The name is simply that as it would be in german, however this is not how anyone searching for it for find it. If I wanted to find information about the Austrian Gendarmerie, I should not have to use the german language version for "federalgendamerie" Thecrystalcicero (talk) 23:06, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How bout Austrian Gendarmerie?--96.227.48.248 (talk) 04:38, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am strongly against naming pages with names other than the correct ones, like 'French X' and 'Austrian X' because it confuses people as to what their actual name is. guidelines say you should differentiate between subjects of the same name by using brackets after the name. actually, searching 'Federal Gendarmerie' brings this as the second result. I put in a redirect from Austrian Gendarmerie anyway. I also re-wrote what I could of the article. ninety:one 09:05, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
