Afro-Cuban jazz?[edit]

MindMeal, in your edit summary with re-adding Category:Afro-Cuban jazz saxophonists, you wrote: Afro-Cuban jazz is a genre, not a nationality; this is referenced through Scott Yanow's book "Afro-Cuban jazz". The article doesn't list that (or any other) reference though. If you (and maybe others) consider Barbieri an Afro-Cuban musician, I think you should

mention that in the article (instead of simply adding the category and mentioning the reference in your edit summary), plus
add (an) appropriate reference(s).

Under Fire[edit]

Bio Section[edit]

This wording troubles me:

By now influenced by John Coltrane's late recordings, as well as those from other 'Free jazz' saxophonists such as Albert Ayler and Pharoah Sanders, the warm and gritty tone, which would become his trademark sound, began to develop.
