Text removed from the article[edit]

I removed this text from the first sentence of the article, since it broke the image that was displayed and did not flow with the rest of the introduction. I'm not an expert in this field and I don't know how this information could be introduced into the article, so I'm pasting it here instead:

"Willem Noordenbos (1910-1990), a Dutch researcher at the UvA, was the first one to propose a model with an interaction between small (unmyelinated) and thick (myelinated) fibers in 1959. The fast (myelinated) fibers block the slow (unmyelinated) fibers, "fast blocks slow". "

Reference Issue[edit]

Reference 9, supporting "When it was first proposed in 1965, the theory was met with considerable skepticism.[9] ", is simply a NYT article claiming the same thing. It's not really an appropriate supporting source? Cosydragon (talk) 07:09, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
