Death date source[edit]

What is our source for Gary’s death? Sorry if I seem to be insensitive, but this is actually pretty important to get right... - Chris.sherlock (talk) 11:45, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Chris.sherlock: Found and added at least one source here: https://www.invent.org/inductees/gary-k-starkweather --hydrox (talk) 16:10, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It does seem odd that there's nothing but an empty obit. Can't find any news or real obituary. Dicklyon (talk) 20:27, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a blog about it. Not exactly an RS. Dicklyon (talk) 20:29, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I worked with (or near, anyway) Gary at Xerox PARC and at Apple ATG. I'll miss him. He was such a creative, colorful, and fun guy. Hearing him in meetings arguing playfully with Apple management was a delight. Dicklyon (talk) 06:15, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
