This area needs cleanup. Maybe this can be merged with the origins of the city. No info related to the place is provided. Chola maritime history and the fued with the Palas can be described better in the origin section

Are you sure about hte picture, which says its "Parvathi". I think it is Saraswathi. Please correct it.
