Galactic Empire (disambiguation)Galactic Empire – Per WP:DIFFCAPS, disambiguation in title not needed. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 12:16, 31 January 2020 (UTC) Relisting. Jerm (talk) 17:52, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's true that the Star Wars Empire gets a great deal of pageviews, but I am hesitant to ascribe a primary topic to a fictional entity with such a generic and commonly used name.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 02:24, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Yup, let's make it really, really difficult to navigate. On the other hand, let's not... -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:42, 5 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong support Galactic empire gets 834 views but Galactic Empire (Star Wars) gets 17,211, Galactic Empire (Isaac Asimov) gets 4,061 and Galactic Empire (series) gets 2,169. Also the redirect Galactic Empire gets 644[[1]] so its far more likely that someone searching for "Galactic Empire" wants one of the specific meanings not the generic one. Yes like Friendly Fire lets make it really easy to navigate since someone why types a capital "E" wanting the generic meaning will find it spelled out as the "main" meaning but those wanting one of the other uses (who are clearly in the majority) aren't required to make 2 clicks. Many people object to DIFFCAPS based on the fact that 2 titles go to completely different articles that only differ by capitalization, this isn't the case since the upper case will go to a DAB not a completely different article like Red Meat and Attention Seeker did and readers are likely to click on these by mistake, this also is unlikely here since DAB pages don't feature prominently in the dropdowns. Its also argued that many people don't worry about caps online, that generally means people use lower case or Sensitive case but usually not Title Case, I Doubt That Many People Would Capitalize Every Word When Typing Generic Terms.
