External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on GURPS Monsters. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Hachi-Otoko speculation[edit]

  • Hachi-Otoko, a man-shaped swarm of bees, possibly inspired by the Candyman

I wrote that one and can state definitively that the inspiration was Swarm from the 1970s Champions comic book ... Carter (talk) 13:17, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I didn't recognize your Wikipedia name! Still, I think that barring a statement by you elsewhere (so that it can be sourced) that that's the inspiration, it can be safely left off of the list here as unneeded? Obviously we can believe you here, but that's still at least kinda like WP:OR? -- JHunterJ (talk) 19:58, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And I assume we can trust you as well. ;) But yes, if there is something online, like a designer blog or interview, even just a brief mention of it, where you confirm your inspiration for the creature(s) you designed for this book, that should be more than good enough as a source. BOZ (talk) 20:29, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I know there's no source other than my statement. That said the original line about Candyman was purely speculative/WP:OR. I'm not deeply invested, other than I've never seen that movie, but I did (for some reason) like Champions and a few other "lesser" Marvel team-up comics :).
